English for Supply Chain Management: insights from EAE Business School Barcelona

Recently, I had the honor of sharing my insights on English for Supply Chain Management as a speaker at the prestigious EAE Business School Barcelona for their master’s program in ‘Supply Chain Management & Logistics’. This masterclass was an excellent opportunity provided by Miquel Serracanta, a leader in Supply Chain and Logistics training.

As an educator in English for Logistics and Transport sectors, and a seasoned coach for English job interviews, my mission is to merge language mastery with the specialized knowledge of this industry. My session was designed to enhance practical communication skills vital for Supply Chain professionals in Spain and beyond.

During the interactive workshop, we focused on developing elevator pitches, a key element for networking and interviewing in the business world. We also explored how to articulate strengths and weaknesses effectively, which is a common challenge in English interviews. By practicing these techniques, the students improved their business English communication, gaining confidence to express complex Supply Chain concepts clearly.

Vocabulary development was another cornerstone of our time together. Mastering English terminology specific to Logistics and Supply Chain is crucial for international success. We delved into terms that facilitate more than just basic understanding—they enable professionals to thrive in an English-speaking business environment.

This educational session was not only a skill-building exercise for the participants but also served as a testament to the value of specialized English training in the professional growth of Supply Chain Management & Logistics personnel.

I deeply appreciate the chance to engage with the future leaders of this industry and am excited about the role specialized English training plays in fostering a skilled and dynamic professional community.
